I have lived near Highway 280 for the past six years and have passed The Fish Market almost daily on my way to other businesses and restaurants, yet I never took the time to stop in or even look at the menu. That finally changed—and I’m glad it did. After viewing their menu online, I decided to give it a try for dinner, and I was very impressed from start to finish. The variety of selections immediately stood out, offering something for everyone. Even more impressive was the level of customer service, which truly exceeded the hype. The restaurant itself is spacious and very inviting. Despite it being a packed evening, we were seated quickly with minimal wait time, which was a pleasant surprise. As for the food—it absolutely exceeded expectations. I started with the calamari, which was fried to perfection—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. For my entrée, I had the grilled salmon with two side dishes, and everything was prepared and seasoned exceptionally well. This was one of those dining experiences that immediately makes you say, “We’ll definitely be back.” And we will.

One of my favorites in Birmingham. They always have a selection of fresh oysters. From big Gulf oysters all the way to small boutique style. I usually eat from the "specials" menu. Friendly staff. I highly recommend!!

Nick's curry told us to come for eleanor's birthday. Which the was superbly good. My best buddy david sat next to me and we all enjoyed ourselves and Eleanor had a very memorable birthday.

Great Food. No wait time. Enough options that it makes it hard for you to quickly order. Something for everyone from the kids to the grandparents you will not be disappointed. Our appetizers were perfect. Our entrees were prepared exactly as ordered. We will definitely be back again

Great menu selection. Waitress was really nice and attentive. The food was good but the snapper Reuben sandwich really should be on different bread. Seemed strange to be wheat bread and got completely soggy by the time it even got to the table. Frog legs were really good! Really good pricing for a seafood restaurant.

I eat here frequently in addition to ordering take out often. The food is always good. I usually order shellfish — fried shrimp, oysters, grilled oysters, raw oysters in season, or catfish filets, with salads, baked potatoes, etc. The food is always good, the wait staff attentive and helpful. Last night I opted for one of the daily fresh fish specials — grilled fresh redfish filet with a light Cajun spice — I requested light spice. It was a large serving and cooked perfectly, lightly spiced. The wedge salads and Greek salads are always good in addition to the fried green tomatoes and key lime pie. There is also a good selection of wines by the bottle that can be purchased with take out,

We had lunch there Saturday and it was great. The salmon and broccoli were delicious. Everything came out correct and in a timely manner. They also have a good beer selection. I am a sour lover so I was happy to see the Ghost Train Kaleidoscope. We went and got some of the desserts they have to choose from the back after dinner and omg! So good and so many options. The cookies and creme, lemon blueberry cookies were so good, as well as the raspberry cheesecake.

Ate here recently and this is what I enjoyed: 1.) Customer service from the hostess to the server was good 2.) Wide variety of menu items to select from 3.) Could ask to be seated inside or on the patio 4.) Tables/booths are spread out and not too close to the next table. 5.) There were healthy choices on the menu to select from
